YOURZEN ABC – Policies & Client Care
Important information about your privacy, safety, and the terms of working with YOURZEN ABC.
1. LIABILITY & CONSENT WAIVER (Yoga, 1:1, Online & In-Person)
Yoga is generally safe and beneficial for most people; however, it involves physical movement that may carry a risk of injury. YOURZEN ABC and instructor Diana Keran will always guide you to work within your own limits and offer adaptations where appropriate.
By attending a class, session, programme, or course (online or in-person), you agree to the following:
1. Personal Responsibility
- You are responsible for listening to your body and stopping any activity that causes pain, dizziness, or discomfort.
- You understand that pushing beyond your limits may increase the risk of injury.
2. Health Conditions & Medical Clearance
You confirm that:
- You have disclosed all relevant health, physical or mental health information to the instructor before taking part.
- You will update YOURZEN ABC if your circumstances change.
- You have obtained medical clearance if you are pregnant, recovering from surgery, have an existing medical condition, or are under medical care.
- You understand that yoga is not a substitute for medical advice, treatment, or therapy.
3. Assumption of Risk
By participating, you acknowledge that:
- Participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
- YOURZEN ABC and its instructors are not liable for injury, illness, worsening of any condition, or loss arising from participation, unless caused by negligence.
4. Online Participation
When participating online:
- You are responsible for ensuring a safe practice space.
- You understand that the instructor may not see all movements clearly.
- By attending or submitting the onboarding 1:1 form, you confirm your consent to these terms.
2. TERMS & CONDITIONS (Classes, Packages, Programmes, 1:1)
These Terms & Conditions apply to all YOURZEN ABC services including group classes, 1:1 sessions, packages, and online programmes.
2.1 Booking & Payment
1. General Bookings
- Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
- Sessions are confirmed once payment is received.
- Pay As You Go attendees must confirm their attendance in advance.
2. Packages & Programmes
- Packages must be purchased by the end of the preceding month.
- Sessions in packages are only valid for the month they were purchased.
- Sessions cannot be rolled over, refunded, or transferred.
- Packages and programmes are for individual use only.
2.2 Cancellations & Rescheduling
1:1 Sessions, Classes & Programmes
- A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule.
- If less than 24 hours' notice is given, the session will be forfeited.
- Each class can only be rescheduled once.
Packages & Pre-Booked Programmes
- 24 hours’ notice is required for any session within a package or programme.
- Late cancellations are charged in full.
- No refunds are offered once a package has begun.
YOUR understanding and cooperation are deeply appreciated.
2.3 Instructor Commitments
YOURZEN ABC agrees to:
- Provide sessions with reasonable skill, care, and professionalism.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment.
- Provide clear instructions and modifications where appropriate.
- Maintain appropriate insurance and safeguarding procedures.
2.4 Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
- Practise safely and follow guidance provided.
- Notify the instructor of any relevant health changes.
- Ensure a safe practice environment for online sessions.
- Use the services for personal, non-commercial use only.
2.5 Limitation of Liability
YOURZEN ABC is not liable for:
- Injuries or conditions arising from participation unless due to negligence.
- Loss or damage to personal property.
- Issues caused by your failure to follow safety instructions.
Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
2.6 Changes, Updates & Class Adjustments
YOURZEN ABC may occasionally adjust class times or services. Reasonable notice will always be provided.
3. PRIVACY POLICY (UK GDPR COMPLIANT)

YOURZEN ABC is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly, in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
3.1 What Personal Data I Collect
I may collect:
- Name, email, phone number.
- Health information relevant to safe yoga participation.
- Booking, payment, and attendance information.
- Communication sent via email or website forms.
- Health information is treated as special category data and processed only with your explicit consent.
3.2 Why I Collect Your Data
To provide safe and appropriate services, including:
- Planning yoga and wellness sessions.
- Managing bookings, payments and communication.
- Meeting insurance and professional requirements.
- Keeping you informed of class updates (only with your consent).
3.3 How Your Data Is Stored
Data is stored securely on encrypted devices or secure UK/EU-based cloud systems.
I never sell, share, or transfer data unless legally required or with your consent.
3.4 Data Retention
- Client records and health forms: kept for 7 years, in line with insurance and UK legal requirements.
- Enquiry emails: stored for up to 12 months unless you become a client.
3.5 Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data.
- Request corrections.
- Request deletion (subject to legal retention periods).
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Request a copy of your data.

4. SAFEGUARDING & DUTY OF CARE POLICY
YOURZEN ABC is committed to maintaining a safe, professional, and supportive environment for all clients, including those who may be vulnerable.
4.1 Commitment to Safety
I agree to:
- Maintain professional boundaries at all times.
- Create an inclusive, respectful, and confidential environment.
- Follow UK safeguarding principles for adults.
- Act responsibly if a client may be at immediate risk of harm.
4.2 When I May Share Information
Confidentiality will only be broken if:
- A client is at immediate risk of harm.
- A third party is at risk.
- I am legally or ethically required to do so.
Whenever possible, concerns will be discussed with you first.
4.3 1:1 Safeguarding Statement
For personalised sessions, I may pause or stop a session if:
- You appear unwell, distressed, or unsafe to continue.
- Your physical or emotional wellbeing may be at risk.
- Your needs exceed the scope of yoga or holistic teaching.
- Referrals may be recommended to healthcare or support professionals where appropriate, particularly if a support system is not already in place for you.
5. INSURANCE & PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
YOURZEN ABC holds full UK professional insurance covering:
- Yoga instruction (group & 1:1).
- Online classes.
- Wellness and holistic sessions within professional scope.
- Workshops & events.
Proof of insurance is available upon request.
YOURZEN ABC commits to:
- Ongoing CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
- Ethical, safe, and inclusive practice.
- Respectful communication and transparency with clients.
